Purchasing Coordinator

Job Description

Purchasing Coordinator working under he general supervision of the Purchasing Manager maintains inventory, orders and receives product, assigns the driver for pick up and deliveries, as well as followingthrough on all Purchase Orders and Receivers.  Purchase items identified in the (M2M) system que for specific jobs while maintaing all inventory levels. Make purchases from the pick list of items not in the que or to make corrections to inventory. Develop and create a list of buy-out updates of jobs with Purhase Order vendor due dates. Run report listing items needed to purchase and make purchases based on department request. Follow up on orders placed with vendors. Work with receiving and notify the endor if the wrong part is received or if a part needs to be repaired and make necessary corrections. Notify Engineering to correct problems with M2M parts. Request COD checks from Accounting and verify all purchase order information prior to releasing check. Assist with Stock Room needs and obtain price and availability information for Customer Service. OTHER DUTIES Log all purchases into M2M system, distribute coies , and file. Correct purchase order errors by verifying the price and availability of parts. Close purchase orders in the Productio Department that all cancelled or incomplete

 

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma required: college degree perferred, Three years Purchasing experience required preferably in a manufacturin environment. Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook; knowledge of M2M a plus or ability to learn. Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detailed oriented, use good judgment, manage competing priorities for muliple projects and consistently meet all deadlines. Must ber persistent, have demonstrated ability to follow through, have excellent problem solving skills, be cost conscious and possess effective negotiating skills. Must be self starter, adhere to the hightest ethical standas and demonstrat integrity. Millingual in Spanis a plus.

CNC Programmer

Job Description

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor the CNC Programmer programs computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery using Mastercam for both mill and lathes.  Coordinates with the shop floor to ensure program performance and quality. Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances and operation sequence. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan the best process for machining
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances from conventional blueprints and CAD drawings using Mastercam
  • Write programs for a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce precision parts
  • Ensure dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications by verifying with the machine operator
  • Provide set-up drawings and tool lists for machine tool operators

Other Duties

  • Coordinate with Engineering and shop floor to create optimum machine utilization
  •  Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor
  • Maintain detailed records of all programs along with complete documentation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Five years machine shop experience that includes machine programming
  • A combination of four years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining is usually required to be eligible for trade certification
  • Trade certification for CNC programming in Mastercam is desirable
  • Proficient in Mastercam programming
  • Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, and manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines

  • Daily collect all job orders on the production floor and verify information for accuracy

  • Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces

  • Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision

  • Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools

  • Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments

  • May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators

  • Scans all job orders through the Made2Manage (M2M) system

  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices

  • Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree, completion of technical trade school or equivalent education and training preferred
  • Five years machine shop experience that includes knowledge of “G” code or a combination of four years of work experience in the trade is desirable
  • Trade certification for CNC machinist is a plus
  • Ability to use measuring devices to verify that work meets blueprint specifications
  • Basic shop math skills and ability to communicate clearly
  • Possess effective organization and time management skills, be detail oriented, use good judgment, and manage competing priorities for multiple projects and consistently meet all deadlines 
  • Able to lift 20-50 pounds.
